This is a Swahili book explaining the features of land Act of 1999. It provides how land can be managed, settlement of land disputes and other land matters. The law provides for equal rights of both men and women in acquiring, utilizing, and occupying land without any gender differentiation.

MJANE NA URITHI (WIDOW AND INHERITANCE)

This is a small handout book, explaining inheritance laws in Tanzania, it’s written in Kiswahili so that every one can understand easily as Kiswahili is our national language. In this book the application of various laws on inheritance are explained; customary laws of inheritance and how to distribute properties under customary law, Islamic law and Indian succession act which is applicable to all indigenous Tanzanians who are not Muslims and who have abandoned their tribal norms and customs.

The book also provides for procedures of writing a will basing on the above mentioned laws, its functions and where a will should be kept.

It additionally gives a detailed description on how to apply for letters of administration, when and how.
